This is so true - a good visual, Sonja. I could also imagine carrying a bucket filled w/ those rocks and pebbles. The bucket is so heavy, and we stumble carrying it, but we are determined to bring our bucket to the shoreline and empty it completely, once and for all, into His care. After we finally toss the last one, we look down at our bucket and notice - it's filled again.. but not w/ rocks and pebbles. Flowers - beautiful aromatic colorful flowers fill the bucket. For each pebble entrusted to God, He planted a seed of victory and hope fulfilled. Thank you Sonja! Blessings....

Remember when you were a child and would go down to a body of water and throw pebbles and rocks into the water. Do you recall the fascination of watching the ripples grow and multiply. As a child it seemed as though the ripples never stopped. Yes, we found great joy in this activity. So much so we kept throwing more and more pebbles and rocks. Often looking for bigger ones. For we wanted more and more ripples.

Today lets imagine that those pebbles and rocks represent issues and problems we are facing. And that the body of water is God. We begin to toss each issues and problem into God. Only to see the issues and problems seem to grow bigger and bigger. But now lets recall from our childhood that as the body of water was able to sustain the ripples we watched grow that God indeed is able to sustain our issues. No matter how big. And as children we continued to throw pebbles and rocks in the body of water because eventually the ripples faded away. As adults we must trust God and begin to cast our cares upon Him. Trusting He is able to handle them. No matter how big or small. When those issues fade away continue to cast the new ones upon Him. And watch Him take care of those also.

As leaders can we agree to pray in harmony for God's divine will and purpose in our lives. His omnipotent power, love, and Holy Spirit will enable us to conquer anything. There is power in agreement. Will you sacrifice your time to pray at the first of each month in 2012 to listen to God's voice and let his will be done in your life? Post about how God uses you as a vessel for his work.

First and foremost I will acknowledge God in all that I do. Continue to unite with Christian men and women of faith pray continuously, seek God in everything and praise him for the fresh manna that he provides for me daily. Continue to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to the prison ministry, walk by faith while uniting with the Circle of Love Men's Ministry and be the co-host to the Flames of Fire Ministry. Pray that God will work miraculously with the Millennium Women organization to reach lost souls.

Hi everyone!  I am just learning about all these wonderful groups on Women of Faith!  How wonderful this is!  I have just started moving forward in Women's Ministry.  It's been laid on my heart by the Lord to move forward in this area and I am looking forward to the growth and adventure that it brings me.  We just got a new Pastor this past Spring and he and his wife are wonderful leaders and are very encouraging!

I look forward to hearing your stories and where you are at in each ministry!

I have been in a relationship for the last 3.5 years and ended it 5 weeks ago. Kevin is an alcoholic and has had drug addictions. He has physically and emotionally abused me. His said so many lies and would twist his actions on me and blame me. He supposedbly was attending the church's freedom classed for the past two months. I question him 6-7 months ago about a person, Cheryl, on his facebook and he said it's a lady from the church's ministry. It would not be the first time he was unfaithful. I immediately knew there was more. I went to church this passed Saturday night (3 days ago) and WOW! God through it right in my face.....Kevin and Cheryl together and have been dating while he was still in a relationship with me. Him and her started 3 months ago but believe it's going on much longer. Cheryl is a volunteer in the church ministry and I feel so much betrayal from her stepping into our relationship. I blame Kevin knowing his habilitual lying and is one good smooth talker and sales person full of lies. I have spoke to two pastors from the church yesterday instead of working. I was given great guidance and prayers. One of the pastors said, she was very concerned of the situation with this Cheryl being in ministry. She said it will not go unnoticed and dealt with. Why doesn't that give me any peace? Why do I still feel extremely betrayed?? Why do I do I still care? I know I would never want him back. Any answers or suggestions? Please pray for me!/body>
